Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Prov ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. The Service

Prov is a local-first career achievement capture app for iOS. It helps you record work accomplishments, which are enriched using AI to produce polished achievement statements, skill extractions, and pattern classifications. The App also generates weekly status updates and tailored briefs for performance reviews, interviews, and promotions.

3. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create in Prov, including win descriptions, enriched text, and any exported data. By using the AI enrichment features, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive right to process your win text solely for the purpose of generating enriched output. Your content is not used for AI model training, advertising, or any other purpose.

4. Subscriptions

Prov offers a free tier and a paid subscription ("Prov Pro") managed through the Apple App Store and RevenueCat. Subscription terms:

• Payment is processed by Apple through your App Store account.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings under Subscriptions.
• If you cancel, you retain access to Pro features until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy.

5. AI-Generated Content

AI-enriched text, skill extractions, pattern classifications, weekly updates, and briefs are provided "as is." AI output is non-deterministic and may vary each time content is generated. Generated content is stored as immutable snapshots. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any particular purpose, including job applications, performance reviews, or interviews.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Circumvent rate limits, authentication, or other security measures.
• Use automated tools or scripts to access the AI enrichment service.
• Distribute, sublicense, or resell the App or its output.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the App.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the terms were last revised. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
